I am a licensed psychologist in Massachusetts with specialized training and over 10 years of experience assessing and treating anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and related disorders in adults. I use evidence-based approaches – that is, assessment and treatment methods shown through research to be effective for these conditions.
I am highly collaborative with the clients I work with, and I aim to help you meet your individual goals. The style of therapy that I provide is generally short-term, active (i.e., skills-based), and focused on targeting current stressors, symptoms, or problems. I will encourage you to practice therapy skills both during our sessions and in between appointments, in order to achieve the results that you’re hoping for. We will track your progress as we work together, so that we can assess how well we’re meeting your treatment goals and tailor our work along the way.
To complement and deepen my practice, I am actively involved in the field of OCD and related disorders. I am Clinical Research Director at HabitAware, a company focused on building innovative tools to support people with body-focused repetitive behaviors. Prior to my position at HabitAware, I was an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School, Assistant Director of the MGH Center for Digital Mental Health, and a staff psychologist at the MGH Center for OCD and Related Disorders, where I maintain a professional affiliation. I also serve on the editorial board for the Journal of Obsessive Compulsive and Related Disorders and review grants for the International OCD Foundation.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to me for more information about my practice, or to find out if I may be a good fit to work with you. I will likely suggest a brief, no-cost phone consultation as a first step. I look forward to hearing from you!
